The research area of Dr. R. Sivaraj is Fluid Dynamics and CFD. He has published over 35 research papers in highly reputed International Journals which includes Applied Thermal Engineering, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Journal of Molecular Liquids, International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, Journal of Heat Transfer (with Thomson Reuters impact factors: 3.043, 2.857, 2.740, 2.559, 1.788, etc.) from the world-class publishers such as Transaction of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Emerald Group, Begell House,  Elsevier, Springer, etc. Under his supervision, two research scholars have submitted their Ph.D. dissertation and two scholars are presently working for their Ph.D. in the areas of Fluid Dynamics. He is one of the reviewers for over 30 reputed international journals and reviewed several research manuscripts. He was invited to University of Botswana, Gaborone, Botswana, Africa as one of the invited speaker for the International Conference on Applications of Fluid Dynamics. He has received a travel grant form Royal Society of London for a research related visit to The University of the West Indies, West Indies. He was the recourse person for the workshop on Computational Methods for Heat and Mass Transfer Problems organized by department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science and Technology, The University of the West Indies, West Indies. He had visited to Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou, China under a Faculty Exchange Programme during September 2014 – January 2015. He has established some foreign research collaborations with esteemed researchers in his research area from South Africa, Botswana, China, and West Indies. He has received the VIT University Research Awards for the years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.
