Born on August 6, 1948 in Kemerovo city, Russia.
A graduate of Tomsk Civil Engineering Institute (now Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building).
1978 – Candidate thesis at Moscow Automobile and Road Construction Institute (now Moscow Automobile And Road Construction State Technical University) in the area of railway and highway location survey and engineering.
1994 – Doctoral thesis in the area of construction technology and organization.
Since 1983 till present – Head of the Automobile Roads Department, Road Engineering and Construction Faculty (TSUAB).
Since 1997 till present – Dean of the Road Engineering and Construction Faculty (TSUAB).
Author of more than 300 scientific publications including scholar articles, 4 monographs, road engineering encyclopedia, 6 corporate standards.
Supervised more than 200 graduation theses, 5 candidate theses.
Member of editorial board of several professional publishers.
Member of Science and Engineering Board of Federal Road Agency (Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation).
Member of Intergovernmental Council of Roads.
Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Participation in the quality management projects of the Federal Road Agency (Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation) on construction of federal transport infrastructure, such as “Omsk – Novosibirsk” federal highway, roads in Tomsk, Kemerovo and Irkutsk Regions, Krasnoyarsk Krai etc.
