Radar Interferometry, Earthquake Cycle Deformation and Modeling



Research Experience:

Dr. Wenbin Xu is the principle investigator of “Volcano Earthquake and Geodesy” research group (http://wenbin16.github.io/) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His principal research interests include the use of satellite radar interferometry (InSAR) to study crustal deformation associated with a variety of geophysical and anthropogenic processes, e.g. earthquakes, volcanoes, land subsidence. Dr. Xu received his PhD degree in Earth Science from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia in 2015. Prior to join the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he worked as a postdoc researcher in the department of Earth and Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. Dr. Xu has authored and co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed journals including Nature Communications.
