Research Experience:
I pioneered a research on the development of mechatronic engineering degree curriculum for Nigerian universities between 2009 and 2013. I have a proven track record in studying and advocating for the diversification of the energy cum electricity sector in Nigeria since 2009, to tackle the lingering problems confronting the sector. In recent times, my research works have centred mainly on the design optimisation and performance evaluation of non-conventional geared medium-speed wind generator drives, with emphasis on rare-earth-free designs at industrial-scale power levels. I am a registered engineer with the council for the regulation of engineering in Nigeria (COREN), member of IEEE and volunteer to its associated societies, committees and groups such as IEEE IAS EMC and IEEE IES EMTC. My main research interests are in the design of electrical machines, as well as on the study and applications of renewable energy technologies and energy sources. I currently have over forty peer–reviewed journal and conference papers, while also acting as a reviewer to major IEEE conferences and transactions.
