Research Experience:
Dr. Lim publications were mainly on crystal structure determination from powder X-ray diffraction data. Currently, his research interests are structure determination of organic materials using powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) data; new materials preparation from solid-state/solventless green chemistry processes (mechanochemical synthesis); extraction, isolation and structure elucidation of natural products from Malaysian plants; and Malaysia street foods analysis.
He has always trying his very best to achieve higher level of research in his laboratory. He has now published about 20 journal articles, with 250 citations (as on 03/04/2019 on Google Scholars). Some of his publications accepted by high impact factor journals, i.e. Angewandte Chemie International, Chemical Communications, Crystal Growth and Design etc. Currently, his research interests are structure determination of organic materials using powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) data; new materials preparation from solid-state/solventless green chemistry processes (mechanochemical synthesis); extraction, isolation and structure elucidation of natural products from Malaysian plants; Malaysia street foods analysis and Chemistry educations through microscale chemistry experimentations.
