Research Experience:
Tan Fee Yean is an Associate Professor of School of Business Management, College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She joined UUM as a Senior Lecturer in 2011 and was promoted as an Associate Professor in 2017. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship on the December 2016 at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. Fee Yean obtained her PhD in Human Resource Management from the Universiti Utara Malaysia. Her primary teaching interests are human resource management, career management, compensation and academic writing, while her main research interests are in the area of human resource management and organizational behavior, specifically career planning and development, employee engagement, and areas related to employees' work attitudes and behaviors. She is a Fellow of the World Business Institute, Australia, and is a Certified Professional Trainer of Malaysian Institute of Management (CPT-MIM). She was also appointed as a Visiting Academic at the University of Southampton, UK (28/09/2016-27/12/2016). As an Associate Professor, she is also responsible for supervising Master/PhD candidates. As recognition of her research contributions, she had been won seven Best Paper Awards from the International Conferences that she has been attended. Some of her research papers had been published in the International SCOPUS indexed and refereed journals. She also received research grants from RAGS and FRGS for research work in issues relating to employees’ work engagement and their counterproductive work behaviors. Before joining UUM as an academician, she worked for one SMEs company for more than three years as a Human Resource Manager.
