Research Area: Optical and material properties of two-dimensional layered materials and their applications in nanoelectronics, optoelectronics and flexible electronics


Research Experience:

Prof. Chunxiao Cong received her B.Sc. degree from Northeast Normal University (China) in 2004. And then she received her M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree from Jilin University (China) in 2007 and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) in 2012, respectively. After a research fellowship at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), she joined Fudan University as the National Thousand Youth Talents Plan Professor of China in 2015. Prof. Chunxiao Cong has been engaged in the research field of two-dimensional materials for over ten years with the focus of synthesis and optical properties of 2D materials, and their applications in optoelectronics. Till now, she has published over 100 papers with 3900 citations. And many of them are in the top scientific journals with high impact factors in physics, chemistry and material science categories such as Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Nano letters, etc. Her H index is 38. She was awarded major honors of Young Scientist Award of ICON-2DMAT 2018 held in Australia, Women's Innovation Award of Fudan University (2018), Conference Award in AsiaNano Japan (2010), Paper Award of Nano Research (2015), etc. As PI, she have recruited 6 research grants (over 5 million RMB) of national and provincial levels including National Thousand Youth Talents Plan, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Municipal Natural Science Foundation, CIOMP-FUDAN cooperation fund, etc. As the organizing committee, session chair and invited speakers, she have participated many highly impacting international conferences worldwide.
