Research Experience:
Researches and practices involve architectural design and theoretical studies, especially focusing on the study of "Built Environment and Diachronic Sites ". For example, micro-regeneration strategy for urban space, the protection and development of the eastern historical cities, the strategies of spatial forms of city moat areas, and community revitalization in the historical blocks and areas. The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) provided a funding to support the research on making the full use of the urban form under the Mechanisms of Typology and Morphology, as well as exploring the public space cluster model and microstructure of community neighborhoods for the comprehensive community service under the background of the Information Age nowadays. The research solves the problems of urban space reconstruction or historic preservation, strengthening urban life and the community vitality regeneration problem with the core design method of renewing neighborhood module. It plays great significance on the protection and regeneration of built environment in the process of urbanization; also on the old district reconstruction and communalized development; moreover, on the entity business and the cultural industry innovation.
