Research Experience:

Dr. Au Yong has over 25 years of extensive industry and academic experience across many regions globally. She holds a PhD specialised in Technology Management awarded by Universiti Sains Malaysia . She received a Master of Arts in Economics from University of Tsukuba. She was a Japanese Government MEXT (Monbukagakusho) Scholar. She has involved extensively in undergraduate and post-graduate programme management and delivery in universities including Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Open University Malaysia and Wawasan Open University. She has maintained a high quality of research throughout her academic career.  She has published over one hundred articles in indexed journals, refereed journals and conference proceedings. She serves as an editorial board member for two international journals and a reviewer for six international journals indexed in Web of Science. Her work was covered by the national media, magazines, television and digital media. She has been involved in several research and consulting projects. She has received domestics and overseas research grants to the amount of USD80,000 in last five years. She has provided economics and policy consulting to clients in Japan and Malaysia. She was trained in an investment bank. Prior to joining academia, she held management positions in Fortune/Forbes multinational corporations and the public sector.  She has extensive experience in compliance risk management, data analytics, environment safety and health, supply chain and logistics, and international investment. She is a recipient of the MIM-Tun Razak Youth Leadership Award (TRYLA).
